Privacy and Security Policy
Dear Visitor: Your personal privacy on the internet is important to me. Whether visiting my campaign site or any other website, I want your privacy protected. That is why, as your Member of Congress, I have sponsored legislation in Congress to better protect your privacy on the internet. In particular, I successfully offered an amendment to prevent Federal government websites from putting "cookies" on our computers. These "cookies" allow the government to track your movements on the web, without you even knowing that they're doing it! My legislation will stop the Federal government's use of these cookies so your privacy is protected! Also, I believe that all commercial websites should offer you, right up front, the option of "opting out" of letting them collect any personal information about you without your consent. I introduced legislation (H.R. 3560) requiring commercial websites to notify you directly about any tracking they do on their site and to give you the right to "opt out"! So, here is my campaign site's privacy policy right here for your review. Unless you voluntarily provide me with any personal information, such as your e-mail address, my site does not place "cookies" to collect personal information about you without your knowledge.
